Please go through this document to the end. Registration is complete only on acceptance of below Policies and Procedures. 

Attendance Policy 

It is advisable that your child(ren) arrives 5 minutes before (no earlier than 10 minutes) his/her scheduled class time. A Parent/Guardian or other authorized adults must sign each child in/out of each session. “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” shall not release a child to any person without a parent’s consent. “Stem Wonders for Edutainment” reserves the right to require identification of any person picking up your child.

“STEM Wonders for Edutainment” will assess a late pickup fee of $5.00 per 5 minutes after the end of a session, beginning after the first 5 minutes.  “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” will contact persons listed as Emergency Contacts if the child has not been picked up within 30 minutes after the session has ended.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The parent agrees to provide two weeks written notice prior to terminating a child from any of our programs. In case you request a refund, please email us at  info@stemwonders.net with your name, child’s name, and membership number. If cancellations occur at least 2 (two) weeks prior to the start of a program, a full refund may be provided. Cancellations within 2 weeks prior the day of a program will be subject to a 50% of the paid amount as a cancellation fee and the balance will be refunded either as a direct refund to the original method of payment or as credit. If cancellations occur on the day of a program, there will be NO refunds or credits.

Please note that, programs cancelled due to inclement weather are non-refundable. Make-up classes will be considered on a case-by-case basis. In the event that make-up classes cannot be accommodated, a refund or credit towards another program for the amount of the missed class will be provided. This policy only applies to classes that are missed due to inclement weather and will not apply to classes missed due to personal illness, vacation, etc. 

Behaviour and Safety Policies

We have developed this Policy to make our programs fun, safe and enjoyable for everyone. Behaviours that are NOT permitted in our programs include, but are not limited to: Physically striking, bullying, harassing, stealing, possession of any harmful objects (such as knives, lighters, etc.), coarse language, non-compliance, aggressive or inappropriate behaviour, and behaviour that significantly impacts the safety or enjoyment of staff or other participants.

Our Educators, staff and volunteers will make every effort to accommodate your child’s needs and integrate them into programming. However, actions or behaviours that do not adhere to this policy will be reported, and could result in the permanent removal of a participant from programs. We reserve the right to remove and withdraw your child from the program should their behaviour cause harm to themselves, participants, staff or property.

Medical Emergencies

I agree to inform “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” if my child or any member of the household develops a reportable communicable disease (immediate notification required if the disease is life-threatening) and/ or of any special medical requirements. STEM Wonders for Edutainment” staff shall notify me whenever my child becomes ill and I will arrange to have my child picked up as soon as possible.  In the event I cannot be reached in an emergency, I hereby give permission to “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” staff to call an ambulance or to have the child taken to the emergency department of the hospital, in the company of a staff member. Payment for services will be the child’s family responsibility. The Educator at the event will provide an incident report to the company at the earliest possible time. 

Food and Snacks

Please send a non-perishable snack, lunch and water bottle should your child(ren) require a snack. It is the parent’s responsibility to provide their child(ren) with healthy food (Please do not send any food that may contain peanuts) and always label your child(ren) belonging. 

Photo and video Release

I hereby grant to STEM Wonders, its representatives and employees, the right to take photographs and videos of my child(ren) registered via this form and/or me and hereby consent to the use of such photographs and/or videos to be used to promote or publicize our programs without any compensation being payable and without any additional consent or authorization from us and  in marketing and promotional materials, in print and/or electronically, including without limitation its Website, newspaper advertisements and social media. I acknowledge and agree that “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” shall own all copyright in such pictures and videos. My child’s name and identity will not be revealed.

Should I prefer that “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” do not photograph my child I will notify Stem Wonders for Edutainment via e-mail at info@stemwonders.net. 

Use of Information

Customer information provided by you and any other personal information collected and maintained will be used for the purposes of registration for our programs. “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” will not disclose this information unless authorized by you, or when it is required or permitted by law. Credit card information is validated by a third-party gateway. STEM Wonders for Edutainment does not sell or rent personal information collected from you to any third parties.

Email Consent

We intend to use the email addresses provided and other means electronic telecommunication to distribute information about the programs, activities, newsletter and promotional mail to you. In accordance with Canada’s anti-spam legislation, we require your permission to communicate with you via email or other means of electronic telecommunications. If, at any time, you wish to revoke this consent, please state such intention in writing to “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” at info@stemwonders.net.

LIABILITY WAIVER

Release of Claim

I, do hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless, release, and discharge the sponsoring organization of said “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” session and staff from any and all claims for death, or any other injuries or damages which may occur to me or my sponsored guests or dependents in, on, or premises damage occurring to or sustained by myself and sponsored dependent and guest, while participating in said activity including any and all consequential damage claims which I may be entitled to recover from said injury or property damage claim.

Release of Liability

In the event of serious disciplinary problems, “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” reserves the right to immediately terminate a child through written notice and to refuse participation to any participant for rule infractions. “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” does not assume responsibility for the child until the child arrives and is signed into the session.

I, the undersigned, for myself and my sponsored dependents and guests further agree to use all related equipment, props and activity area properly and leave them in good condition. I, the undersigned, understand the activities which will be held during the program and have had my questions answered to my satisfaction. I, the undersigned, certify that the information I have given on my registration form is complete and accurate. By my signature below, I agree to the provisions of this Release of Liability Waiver for myself, for my sponsored dependents and guests, and for my heirs and assigns intending to be legally bound.

BILLING AUTHORIZATION

Payment 

Payment is due at the time of registration. Payments can be made online through credit card. If seeking alternate methods of payment, please contact “STEM Wonders for Edutainment” at least 2 weeks prior to the session.  Registration cannot proceed without payment, nor can spaces be held.
